During high school,I had realized that I wanted to become a teacher.I thought that I should start looking at colleges It was important to me to find a college that had all the classes that I need to become a preschool teacher.After researching many different colleges I have decided to go to Heartland.I had talk to many other preschool teachers about where they went to college and talked to my parents about it and after looking at all of the ones they told me I decided I would do Heartland since it’s a pretty small school and I didn’t want to go to a big school.I also decided to go to heartland because I wanted to be close to home and all of the other colleges I looked at were pretty big and I would of had to stay in a dorm and I didn’t wanna do that.

I got a lot of good advice from parents and other family members about going to heartland.All my family members thought it would also be a good idea to go somewhere close and live at home so then I could work on saving money to buy a house and not worrying about having to find a different job till I graduate college and become a preschool teacher.I already have an idea of where I wanna to work after I graduate college.

My visit at the Heartland here in Lincoln was good we walked in and checked in for my appointment and I looked around at the school and I liked it because It was small and the classes don’t have a ton of kids in them.We meet with my advisor and she was very nice and gave us a tour and showed me the classrooms that I would be in.I also got to meet the teacher of one of my classes and she was very nice and she told me a few things about the class.

With all the benefits and after my visit I knew it was a perfect fit for me.I am excited to go there and have a great 2 years to get my degree for becoming a preschool teacher.I am excited for this new chapter and call this new place home for the next 2 years.
